Mission
To promote health and wellness and reduce harm from substance use among youth and adults.
Vision
Through the involvement of a broad-based coalition of community members, we want to promote a lifestyle free from alcohol and other drug harm, consequently improving the quality of life on our campus and within the community.
Working goals
Goal #1: Build capacity around alcohol and other drug awareness, prevention, and treatment by acting as a resource for the community.
Goal #2: Change the campus and community culture surrounding the inappropriate promotion and use of alcohol and other drugs by utilizing environmental strategies.
Goal #3: Promote a safe community for youth, people who are nondrinkers, and those in recovery by limiting the access to alcohol and the places where alcohol can be served by utilizing community intervention strategies.
Our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging
A2C3 strives to manifest the intersection between social justice and public health by committing to intentional work together to better understand the connections between systemic racism and inequities that could impact the mission of A2C3. In line with our objectives, we seek to address all forms of racism and oppression, xenophobia, homophobia, sexism, transphobia, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, ageism, classism, ableism, other forms of discrimination, and hate speech or actions that attempt to silence, threaten, and marginalize.
